Chapter II — Client Reviews

Accounts from Previous Clients

Each review reflects an individual matter. Outcomes differ depending on the specific circumstances and the service engaged.

SP

Sombat Phattanaporn

Retired civil engineer, Bangkok

I had been receiving statements I did not fully understand for several years before finally arranging an audit appointment. The summary I received was clear and thorough. It showed that two contribution periods had been missed from my record — information I would not have found on my own. I later proceeded with an appeal and was kept informed at each stage.

NK

Nattawan Kositwattana

Former public sector administrator, Nonthaburi

After my initial appeal letter was declined without explanation, I was unsure how to proceed. Naga Law handled the formal appeal on my behalf, including correspondence I did not know was necessary. I did not attend any hearing myself — the lawyers represented me throughout. The matter took about four months from engagement to resolution.

TW

Timothy Warrington

British national, long-term Bangkok resident

As a foreign national I found the Thai pension documentation entirely inaccessible. Naga Law explained everything in English, which was the most immediately useful thing. The audit showed records in better order than I had expected — I was reassured rather than alarmed. A calm, professional appointment.

WR

Wipawan Ratchadamnoen

Retired nurse, Samut Prakan

My career included several years in a hospital unit classified as hazardous. I had never been told this might affect my pension. Naga Law identified the applicable classification, prepared all the supporting documentation, and submitted it to the correct authority. I received a written summary at each step, which I appreciated greatly.

AC

Ananya Chantarawong

Retired teacher, Pathum Thani

I came for an audit simply to understand what I had. The process was unhurried and the written summary was easy to follow. One inconsistency was identified that I was not aware of — I chose not to pursue it further at this time, which was my decision and was fully respected. The audit was useful on its own terms.

PS

Preecha Suksombat

Retired military officer, Bangkok

Military pension entitlements are complex and, in my experience, rarely explained fully by the relevant authority. Naga Law understood the regulatory structure immediately and knew which documents to request. The submission they prepared was detailed and clearly referenced the applicable provisions. I would not have managed this without legal assistance.

Chapter III — Case Studies

Three Client Journeys in Detail

The following accounts describe client matters in more detail. Names are altered for privacy; circumstances are drawn from real engagements.

Case Study — I

Missing Contribution Periods — Audit Leading to Successful Appeal

The Situation

A client in his late 60s requested an audit after noticing his monthly pension was lower than expected. He had worked for the same employer for 31 years with no employment gaps.

What We Found

The audit identified that 18 months of employer contributions had not been reflected in the authority's records — corresponding to a period when the employer had changed payroll systems. A formal appeal was prepared citing the discrepancy with supporting payroll evidence.

Outcome

The appeal was accepted after a 14-week review. The missing period was added to the client's contribution record, resulting in an upward adjustment to his monthly entitlement. Total timeline: approximately 22 weeks.

"I was sceptical that anything would come of it, but the audit confirmed something was wrong and the appeal resolved it. Having the written summary throughout made me feel in control of the process."

Case Study — II

Hazardous-Occupation Classification — Special-Status Entitlement Recognised

The Situation

A retired industrial worker had spent 12 of her 28 working years in a production environment subject to occupational hazard classification. Her pension had been calculated as a standard entitlement without special-status provisions applied.

Our Work

We confirmed the applicable qualifying conditions, gathered employment and occupational health records, and prepared a formal submission to the relevant authority with references to the applicable regulatory provisions.

Outcome

The authority accepted the submission and applied the special-status provisions to the qualifying period. The recalculation resulted in a meaningful upward adjustment. Total engagement duration: approximately 17 weeks.

"I had no idea the classification existed or that it applied to me. Naga Law knew exactly which rules were relevant and handled everything carefully."

Case Study — III

Declined First Appeal — Formal Representation on Second Submission

The Situation

A client had submitted a handwritten appeal letter independently and received a declined response with no detailed reasoning. He had no further correspondence with the authority and was uncertain whether to proceed.

Our Approach

We reviewed his original letter and the response, conducted a document audit, and prepared a structured formal appeal addressing the regulatory basis for his entitlement claim. We also requested clarification on the grounds for the initial decline.

Outcome

The formal appeal was accepted at the review stage without an oral hearing. The matter was resolved approximately 11 weeks from engagement. The client noted that the structured submission had been understood by the authority where his own letter had not.

"My first attempt got nowhere. Knowing that a proper legal submission had been prepared and submitted correctly made a tangible difference to the outcome."
