What does a pension document audit involve?
We collect and review all available pension documentation — statements, employer contribution records, authority correspondence — and arrange these in chronological order. We then prepare a written summary that notes any apparent inconsistencies, gaps, or areas requiring further attention. The summary belongs to the client and may be used however they choose, including as a basis for further legal steps.
How do I know whether I have grounds for an administrative appeal?
The audit process often brings this to light. If we find that contributions were miscalculated, service periods were omitted, or authority correspondence was not properly addressed, these may support an appeal. We will explain what the documentation shows before any further commitment is made. If you have already received a declined first correspondence, an appeal may be the appropriate next step.
What is a special-status pension classification?
Certain categories of employment attract enhanced pension entitlements under Thai national pension law — these include extended long-service awards, military or uniformed service, and work classified as hazardous. If your career included any such periods, they may not have been fully reflected in your routine pension calculation. Our counsel for these matters involves identifying the relevant qualifying conditions and preparing supporting documentation for submission.
How long does an appeal typically take?
Administrative appeal timelines depend on the authority reviewing the matter and whether an oral hearing is required. We provide a realistic assessment of likely timelines at the outset of each matter and keep clients informed as the process develops. We do not make firm timeline commitments that depend on authority scheduling, but we ensure our submissions are thorough and prompt.
Are the service fees all-inclusive?
The fees listed — ฿3,200 for a document audit, ฿6,200 for appeal representation, and ฿8,300 for special-status counsel — cover the scope of work described. Any extension of scope is discussed and agreed with the client before proceeding. There are no automatic additions or charges not discussed at the start of the engagement.
Is my information kept confidential?
All client information and documents are handled in accordance with our confidentiality obligations as legal practitioners. Material submitted in the course of your matter is not shared with any party other than the relevant authority, and only to the extent required by the matter itself. We are happy to discuss our data handling practices in more detail during an initial consultation.
